Day to Day Detailed Itinerary
Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International airport, you'll be greeted by your tour guide and driven to your campsite in the heart . Take some time to settle in and enjoy the breathtaking surroundings.
After morning breakfast at the lodge, you will be picked up by your safari river/guide. Then you set out and drive to Lake Manyara national park. Lake Manyara National Park is known for its diverse ecosystems, which include forests, grassy plains, swamps, and the lake itself. These varied habitats support a wide array of wildlife species, making the park a popular destination for safari enthusiasts. Some of the animals you can encounter in the park include elephants, buffalos, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, hippos, and various antelope species.
The park is particularly renowned for its tree-climbing lions, which are a unique attraction. These lions have developed the habit of climbing into the branches of trees, offering a fascinating sight for visitors. Additionally, Lake Manyara is home to a vast number of bird species, with over 400 recorded in the area, including flamingos, pelicans, storks, and many others.

Enjoy a morning breakfast at your accommodation in Lake Manyara. proceed with early morning game drive to continue from the previous day, explore Lake Manyara National Park for a few hours. The park is known for its diverse wildlife, including elephants, giraffes, zebras, and numerous bird species. Have lunch at the lodge and thereafter, afternoon, depart from Lake Manyara after lunch, heading towards the Serengeti National Park.
The drive from Lake Manyara to Serengeti takes approximately 4-5 hours.
Along the way, you will pass through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you can enjoy stunning views of the Ngorongoro Crater. Upon reaching the Serengeti National Park, check in at your chosen lodge or camp.
Take some time to relax and settle into your accommodation. Dinner and overnight stay at your camp.

Continue your journey to the northern Serengeti, where the famous Mara River awaits. Here, you'll have the chance to witness dramatic scenes as herds of wildebeest navigate through crocodile-infested waters (if you happen to visit during this period). You'll also have opportunities to spot other predators like lions, leopards, and cheetahs. Dinner and overnight at the camp

After an early morning breakfast, you will go on another game drive in Serengeti where you may spot the Big-five game (lion, elephants, Buffalo, Rhino and the leopard before setting out to Ngorongoro crater. The unfenced areas allow the animals to move freely, giving us a constant opportunity to see game. When we reach the crater's edge, we catch our first look of the glittering streams, wide-open grasslands, and a wide variety of animals that will be waiting for us the next day. We spend the night at the Simba Campsite, just at the edge of the crater, and as we doze off, the orange glow of the setting sun surrounds us.

Ngorongoro Crater lodge, Ngorongoro forest tented camp

Early risers are rewarded with breathtaking views of the rising sun over the crater’s edge. After a hearty breakfast, drive down the adventurous track into the crater. This UNESCO World Heritage Site, formed millions of years ago in the massive explosion of a volcano, is 610 meters deep and covers roughly around 260 square kilometers. Due to its dense animal population of approximately 25,000 ungulates, the crater offers the best game viewing of all the parks in Tanzania. In a matter of minutes, we will see wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, elephant, and some of the more than 500 bird species that inhabit the crater. With a little luck, we may catch a glimpse of the endangered black rhino through the grass. After lunch, we ascend the steep walls of the crater and head onward to our lodgings in Karatu. Dinner awaits at the Lilac Campsite (or alternatively Panorama Campsite) in pretty and relaxing surroundings, where our tents await to harbor our ease and dreams of wild cats.

On the final day, after breakfast, you'll bid farewell to Ngorongoro crater and make your way back to the airport for your departure. Taking with your incredible memories and a newfound appreciation for the natural wonders of the Serengeti.
