Your driver-guide will pick you up from the Johannesburg airport or hotel at roughly 07h00. Following a briefing, we leave the busy city behind and make our way to the Kruger National Park. You can go on an optional sunset safari this afternoon, which typically runs from 16:30 to 19:30. This is a fantastic opportunity to see the African sunset over the Kruger National Park and possibly sight some nighttime wildlife.
Accommodation: Komati River Chalets
You will go on a full day of wildlife viewing in an open safari vehicle with an expert from the Kruger Park and an informed ranger today. There will be a breakfast pack available for you to bring. Remember to bring sunscreen and necessities for a safari, such as binoculars and a camera!
During lunch, your guide will make a stop at one of the rest camps (at your own expense). You can stretch your legs and have a nice supper here before continuing your hunt for animals, which includes the Big 5 family. You will return to the lodge in the late afternoon, where you can relax before supper.
Highlights included: a full-day, open-air 4x4 safari in Kruger National Park
Accommodation: Komati River Chalets
We leave Kruger behind and enter Mozambique after breakfast. We head to Maputo, the country's capital, for a quick tour after completing the border formalities. After that, it's time for adventure and fun as we travel to the seaside village of Ponta do Ouro.
Spend the next several days at Ponta do Ouro lounging on the white sand beaches and enjoying all the things the area has to offer. Scuba diving in the Indian Ocean's pristine tropical reefs is one of the main attractions. You can arrange to go deep-sea fishing, snorkeling, scuba diving, or swimming with dolphins with the help of your guide. Participation in the activities is voluntary.
We go to the local market tonight to eat a lovely dinner at Mamma Alice's. Tucked up behind the fresh produce market, this hidden gem provides a genuine flavor of regional food.
Highlight included: Maputo City.
Accommodation: Kaya Kweru
Enjoy a delicious breakfast and yet another amazing day in Ponta. Admire the surroundings while engaging in one of the many optional activities. Your guide will help you with the planning. Amazing local markets and miles of pristine beaches await exploration by those with less of a daring streak. To visit some of the communities that are a little further out, you can also rent quad bikes.
An ocean safari, swimming with dolphins, deep-sea fishing, scuba diving, snorkeling, and quad biking are among the optional activities.
Accommodation: Kaya Kweru
We bid farewell to the gorgeous beaches of southern Mozambique after breakfast and go to the Kingdom of Eswatini (Swaziland). Just in time for lunch, we reach Hlane Royal National Park.
You can reserve a 2.5-hour game drive with a sunset cocktail for this afternoon. Four of the Big Five animals—the buffalo being the lone exception—call Hlane home.
Note that there is no electricity in Hlane. Gas is used to power the hot water showers, and candles and paraffin lanterns offer lighting.
Meals: dinner and breakfast.
One of the optional activities is a 2.5-hour safari wildlife drive at dusk.
Accommodation: Ndlovu Camp
We are going to take part in a really special event this morning, which is a popular rhino drive, where we will get to experience life in the wild. The 1.5-hour drive is devoted to viewing white rhinos. The best part of this drive would be getting out of the car and stealthily walking over to them. The ranger has discretion, but not all rhinos are friendly. The minimum age is 13 years old because of the nature of this activity.
We head to the Swazi Candles Centre and Craft Market after breakfast, where you'll be surrounded by amazing artists and crafters. You can take pleasure in the lively market and gift shops. This is the ideal time to discover a gift.
Next, to have a better understanding of Swazi customs and culture, we travel to the cultural village at Mantenga, the home of culture.
In the late afternoon, we check into our rooms.
Highlights include the Matenga Cultural Village, the Swazi Candles and Craft Market, and the sunrise rhino game drive.
Accommodation: Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary - Rest Camp Hut
We will have opportunity to tour Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary after a delicious breakfast. This park, which is home to many wild species, provides opportunities for hiking, mountain biking, and equestrian safaris. The modest 4,560-ha reserve offers endless hours of guided or self-directed exploration because big cats and other predators are comparatively rare.
We will visit the Ngwenya Glass Factory Shop, a well-liked tourist destination, after touring Mlilwane.
We return to Johannesburg in the late afternoon, marking the end of our visit.
White-water rafting, sunrise safaris, nature walks, village walks, mountain bike routes, horseback riding, guided bird walks, and nature hikes are among the optional activities.
