You'll land in Botswana at Maun Airport, then take a short local flight to Tau Pan Airstrip. Tau Pan Lodge is the first semi-permanent camp within the Central Kalahari Game Reserve, and it provides breathtaking views from the raised crest of an ancient sand dune (an unique experience in Botswana's flat terrain). It looks out over the famous Tau Pan, which is known for its stark beauty and lonely location.
Tau Pan offers a variety of activities, including game drives, day tours to the well-known Deception Valley, Sunday, Piper and Passarge Pans, stargazing, and nature walks with Bushman trackers. The Kalahari is home to oryx, desert-adapted springbok, jackals, the uncommon brown hyena, red-crested korhaan, and herds of wildebeest.
Main Destination: Central Kalahari Game Reserve.
Accommodation: Tau Pan Camp.

You can enjoy excellent leopard and big cat sightings, bush walks (depending on the season and walking conditions), birding (March to December), private night drives, and off-road game drives. Water activities include fishing (from March to December) and mokoro safaris (depending on the water level).

The park is famed for its vast herds of elephants and Cape buffalo, which congregate along the Chobe Riverfront during the dry season. The forests and lagoons around Linyanti Marsh are home to lions, antelopes, and hippos, while the Savuti Marsh's floodable grasslands attract a variety of bird species and migrating zebra.
Chobe Bakwena offers wildlife drives and Chobe River boat tours. Optional activities include Namibian village visits, cycling, and fishing (extra charges apply).
