5-Day Private Parks Kruger – Two Different Game Lodges

A charming setup, Eastgate Airport is located on the outskirts of Kruger Park. The airport, which was once an air force installation, has been converted into a stunning outdoor "arrival and departure lounge" shaded by gorgeous acacia trees and surrounded by warthogs. After being greeted at this location, you are transported to the Klaserie Reserve and finally the friendly grounds of Xanatseni Game Reserve. As the afternoon cools off, a small lunch is provided, and the game drive leaves. Every afternoon and morning for three hours, game drives scour the eastern section of the Klaserie Game Reserve. All five of the fascinating Big Five, together with a large number of other creatures found in this varied habitat, are abundant in the Klaserie Game Reserve. The trip stops for "sundowners" at twilight, when people enjoy snacks and beverages to celebrate the lowering sun. Your lodging consists of exquisitely furnished, opulent cabins complete with air conditioning and private toilets. Before going to bed, a three-course supper is provided, maybe in the dining room or by the fire.

Before the game drive, we'll get together for tea or coffee and rusks early in the morning. After that, we'll go on a three-hour safari in the East Block of Klaserie Game Reserve. Sightings of white rhinos and leopards are common in the region. Elephants are also frequently seen. The Big Five are all visible, along with a variety of other creatures, including zebras, hippos, and giraffes. Hyenas and other nocturnal species are also out and about at night. We'll take a break at lunchtime and relax in your gorgeous, opulent accommodations, by the swimming pool, or in a tent among the trees.
The several dining sections serve three different meals, and the bar is well equipped with wines, beers, and minerals. If you want to sip on a craft gin and tonic before lunch, that's also an option. After sundowners, the afternoon game drive resumes in the dark with a portable flashlight in search of those elusive nocturnal creatures.

We have an early start this morning and will be going on a about three-hour open vehicle game drive in Klaserie Private Nature Reserve.
With a spacious space to explore, Xanatseni is a small, individualized resort with attentive personnel. With so many raptors and other prey birds to observe, together with a large number of summer migrants to Africa, birding can be quite rewarding. All five of the Big Five are there, as well as plains games such as zebra and wildebeest. In order to assist the expert trackers in finding some species that might not be along the winding bush routes, the ranger/guide will interpret indications and tracks left in the sand.
Following the wildlife drive, guests can look forward to a hearty breakfast at the lodge, complete with freshly baked goods, pastries, and a cooked English-style breakfast that is much-needed after such an active morning. After passing through the reserve in part, guests are transferred to the next resort, Umlani Bush Camp in Timbavati Private Game Reserve, in time for a light lunch. After that, you'll have a drive in the afternoon to a different part of Greater Kruger.
