Overview

You will have plenty of chances to capture memories of the Big 5 animals in Kruger National Park, along with hippo, giraffe, kudu, wildebeest (the renowned gnu), and zebra, on the 5-day air-conditioned tented camp Kruger safari. In addition to other lesser-known African species, you could come across creatures like the leopard mountain tortoise, one of the continent’s most endangered mammals, and the recently acquired wild dog, also known as the Cape hunting dog.

Day 1 :

OR Tambo Airport to Kruger National Park

The free pick-up from Skukuza Airport is available at any time; however, advance booking is strongly required.

There is an optional shuttle that leaves Johannesburg either at 6:45 a.m. or 11 a.m. to take guests to Kruger National Park (transport included both ways). With the shuttle, we can also set up hotel pickup in Johannesburg (extra charge of ZAR 875 per trip).

If you are traveling directly to Nelspruit Airport (MQP), we advise getting there by 1:15 p.m. Guests scheduled on flights at different times might choose for private transportation (at an extra cost).

You take your first afternoon game drive in the park after checking into your lodging (an extra 500 ZAR for a shared vehicle and 1,000 ZAR for a single individual).

The Sabi Sands Shaws Gate overnight lodging is located 5 km from Kruger National Park.

Main destination: Kruger National Park.

Day 2 :

(Day two-four) Full day in Kruger National Park in open-sided vehicles

Before venturing into the wilderness, have some tea or coffee and some pastries. Following the pre-arranged morning game drive, brunch consists of a cooked breakfast.

After brunch, go on another fantastic game drive in Kruger National Park (extra charge per person, splitting ZAR 500 and ZAR 1,000).

We accommodate different diets; dinner is a meal that South Africans really love, and it always includes pudding.

For ZAR 4,500 per group, an optional Panorama Route may be reserved in advance to substitute for the day's events. God's Window, Bourke's Luck, Three Rondavels, Blyde River Canyon, and (depending on the time of day) a waterfall are among the locations you will see. We will stop for lunch on the way (at our own expense).

Your overnight lodging is located at Sabi Sands' Shaws Gate, 5 kilometers from Kruger Park.

Day 5 :

Kruger Park to OR Tambo

Enjoy coffee or tea and muffins once more before the morning game drive (included). This is your final opportunity to witness the Big 5.

After brunch, there is an optional (included) bus return to Johannesburg or the MQP Airport. You will reach Johannesburg somewhere in the evening, maybe about 6:00.

Your flight from Nelspruit Airport (MQP/KMIA) must depart at around 2:30 pm. Drop-offs at Skukuza Airport are available at any time (included, but please make advance arrangements).

The Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg is the primary destination.
