Aside from enjoying morning and afternoon wildlife drives and a wonderful “sofa safari” from the seclusion of your own observation deck, your luxurious tented accommodations will transport you to a world of romance and elegance straight out of “Out of Africa.” Situated in an immaculate bushveld on a 10,000-hectare private concession, Hamiltons Tented Camp is exclusively accessible to safari lodges that operate inside the concession.

Day 1 :

Johannesburg to Kruger National Park

Guests are picked up early from Johannesburg and taken to Kruger National Park in a luxury tour vehicle. The trip from Johannesburg to Hamiltons Tented Camp takes around 6 hours, with a break for snacks and beverages along the way. Arrive around midday, have a light lunch, and relax around the camp before departing for a late afternoon game drive in the Mluwati concession. Return to camp as the sun sets and eat a three-course supper at the fine dining restaurant.

Day 2 :

Before leaving for the morning Big Five game drive, get up early to enjoy hot drinks and breakfast pastries. Your expert game ranger can choose to stay within the Mluwati Concession, which is only accessible to safari lodges operating in the private concession, or venture farther into Kruger Park for fantastic animal and bird sightings.

Return to camp for a late breakfast and an afternoon spent relaxing by the pool or pampering in the privacy of your safari tent. Enjoy a light meal and high tea at the main lodge before departing late afternoon for a wildlife drive. Dinner is provided back at the campsite.

Day 5 :

Get up early to enjoy hot drinks and morning pastries before heading out on your final game drive with your game ranger at the Mluwati Concession. When you get back, have a leisurely breakfast before checking out. We will head out late in the morning to make the trip back to Johannesburg, making stops for beverages and snacks en route. Arrive late in the afternoon (between 5:00 and 6:00 pm) at Johannesburg's OR Tambo International Airport.
