5-Day Best of Both – Kruger Park & Luxury Lodge Combo

The first leg of your trip is a transfer from Johannesburg's OR Tambo airport to Kruger Park. Your Private Nature Guide will greet you cheerfully and accompany you on each private safari in an open safari vehicle as they explain the African bush for you. Your amazing safari experience starts as soon as you set foot in Kruger Park, where you can expect to see a variety of antelope, giraffe, and zebra in addition to majestic creatures like the Big 5. Arrive at the Kruger Park restcamp as the day is coming to an end. Here, you will check in and make yourself at home. Learn about the amenities offered by the camp, including the cafeteria, camp store, and swimming pool. The camp restaurant will serve dinner, which includes a carefully selected menu of delicious meals and a large range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Head to bed after a filling meal so that tomorrow will be an even more thrilling safari day.

Each day on safari begins with Africa waking up. Exit the gates with your guide as the sun rises over the African Savannah. Our professional and educated guides are prepared to get you up close and personal with nature, giving you the best chance to observe the Big Five. After an exhilarating morning safari, you will return to camp for a mid-morning break, which will include a hearty lunch at the camp restaurant. In the afternoon, you will have time to rest and unwind at the camp before departing on a private sunset safari with your personal guide. This safari lasts 3 to 4 hours and allows you to see a variety of species, including hippos, giraffes, and, of course, any member of the Big Five. As the day comes to a close, you will have a great meal at the camp restaurant before retiring to your accommodation for the night to relax and recharge for another day of safari adventures.

On your final day in Kruger, we will rise with the bush, pack up, and embark on your final private safari to see any animals you may have missed. Arrive at Orpen Gate and go to Hoedspruit, a tiny village where you will have breakfast at one of the local eateries. We will next drive 30 minutes to Tomo Safari Resort, an exclusive and beautiful resort in Balule Private Game Reserve. Check into your accommodation and acquaint yourself with the lodge's amenities, which include a bar, restaurant, and pool. After a sumptuous lunch, go on your first safari to a private wildlife reserve. Where your guide takes you off-road for the Big Five. Stop for a "sundowner," a cool drink enjoyed in the African bush at Twilight—a memorable experience. As dusk falls, your guide will use spotlights to find nocturnal species. With the sounds of the African night around you. Following an exciting evening/night safari, you will return to the resort for a sumptuous meal.

Prepare for an early morning start to begin your safari activities. With a wake-up call, you will have plenty of time to enjoy a cup of coffee, tea, and pastries before embarking on your morning safari. Tomo's rangers will get you up close and personal with Africa's renowned creatures. During the safari, your ranger will select the ideal location to pause and enjoy coffee, tea, and pastries as the morning chorus serenades the savannah. After your morning expedition, return to the resort for a delicious breakfast. You may then unwind in camp by reading, relaxing by the pool, or taking a siesta until lunchtime, when the camp restaurant will feed you. Later, go on another afternoon safari to see more animals, with a sundowner break to enjoy nature's peace before returning to camp for supper.

The final day of your stay will start with a 3- to 4-hour morning safari with your ranger. During this last excursion, you will have the opportunity to thoroughly immerse yourself in the natural surroundings while reflecting on your incredible experience. To make the most of your morning safari, your ranger will drive you to a lovely area in the bush where you may relax with tea and coffee while admiring the spectacular views. After your morning safari, you will return to the resort for a hearty breakfast. After breakfast, your shuttle will arrive to pick you up for your journey back to Johannesburg, bringing your incredible adventure to a close. You will have experienced the best of both worlds, including the Kruger National Park and a private game reserve at a luxury safari lodge.
