Camp Shawu is a small, intimate bush hideaway located in the foothills of the Lebombo Mountains, with breathtaking views of the African bushveld. The primary facility has a lovely lounge space with a library and indoor and outdoor eating options. The camp can accommodate 10 visitors in well-appointed semi-tented quarters. Camp Shawu offers you to experience true Africa—majestic, unedited, and unvarnished. If Camp Shawu is not available, Camp Shonga will be utilized instead.

4-Day Semi-Tented Kruger Park Safari - Camp Shawu Itinerary
This morning, our company tour guide will take you up. Our itinerary takes us through the Highveld's agricultural and mining regions before continuing along the Mpumalanga escarpment into the subtropical Lowveld and Kruger National Park.
We will arrive at Kruger National Park's entry gate in the early afternoon and drive the short distance to Camp Shawu, stopping for game watching along the way. When you arrive, you may eat lunch. Camp Shawu is located on the Mpanamana Private Concession inside the Kruger National Park and is known for providing unique African safari experiences that conjure mystery, wonder, and, above all, adventure. The camp overlooks the Mpanamana Dam.
Later this afternoon, you will have your first exhilarating game drive in open 4X4 vehicles. Sundowners are savored deep in the bush at nightfall, followed by a drive in search of nocturnal wildlife using spotlights.
When you return from the game drive, you may have dinner at the lodge.

In Big Five territory, you will get an early wake-up call signal to begin another thrilling day. You will return for brunch following your early morning safari.
premier renowned for the 'Big Five', the Kruger Park provides one of Africa's premier wildlife experiences. 336 trees, 49 fish, 34 amphibians, 114 reptiles, 507 birds, and 147 mammals are among the astounding number of species found in Kruger. The world-famous Kruger National Park provides one of Africa's greatest animal experiences.
In Kruger Park, Camp Shawu is located on a 15,000-hectare private concession. You may get a spectacular view of wildlife gathering to drink from private terraces that overlook the Mpanamana Dam.
There will be another safari in open 4x4 vehicles later this afternoon and into the evening. After absorbing the bush's spiritual presence and enchanted energy, you will return to the camp feeling refreshed and renewed.
Return to Camp Shawu and have a delicious South African meal.

Wildlife concentrations are high near the Mpanamana Dam. Camp Shawu has the name of Shawu, one of the most well-known African elephants. Shawu was one of the Magnificent Seven, a group of elephants. The Shawu bull, which possessed the biggest tusks ever measured in South Africa, spent sixty years roaming the valley close to Camp Shawu.
When it comes to having an amazing African safari experience that inspires mystery, wonder, and most importantly, adventure, the concession is famous. The camp provides exceptional service, great food, and unmatched "Big 5" game watching.
Ten people may stay at Camp Shawu in five spacious rooms with views of the Mpanamana dam. Every accommodation at Camp Shawu has a romantic claw and ball bath, a sitting area with an open fireplace, ceiling fans, and an outdoor shower. The ideal location for watching the game while enjoying a drink is a spacious verandah with comfortable seats.

After a last open vehicle game drive and a late breakfast, you will be picked up at the lodge and transported back to Johannesburg. You will be dropped off in the late afternoon at a place of your choosing about 18:00.
The return trip to Johannesburg includes a light lunch.
You may take a shuttle from Camp Shawu to Nelspruit Airport (MQP) and then fly to Johannesburg or Cape Town. There is one daily flight between Nelspruit and Cape Town, as well as afternoon flights from Nelspruit to Johannesburg.
