Overview

Kwa Maritane Bush Lodge is one of the reserve’s original lodges and welcomes a diverse spectrum of visitors, including families with small children, huge groups of conference attendees, and wedding guests. The accommodations are well-designed, and the lodge amenities are excellent, with onsite diversions to keep everyone entertained between daily game drives.

Day 1 :

Johannesburg to Kwa Maritane Bush Lodge

Self-drive to the Kwa Maritane Bush Lodge from Johannesburg, or organize a private shuttle from Johannesburg at an additional fee. Check in and eat lunch on the main deck, which overlooks the waterhole. Settle in before gathering at the main lodge for an evening wildlife drive, which includes a sundowner break as the sun sets over the horizon. Return to the lodge to clean up and have supper in the dining room before retiring to your accommodation for the evening.

Day 2 :

(Day two-three) Morning and Afternoon Open-Vehicle Safari Drives

After warming drinks, leave early for a 3-hour morning game drive in the Pilanesberg Game Reserve in an open safari vehicle with a trained ranger. Return to the resort for breakfast and keep yourself occupied with the many activities available at Kwa Maritane Bush resort. For an extra fee, you may participate in a guided bush walk or game tracking activity, or visit the reserve's wildlife center or Predator's World. In the late afternoon, you will go on a game drive before returning to the resort restaurant for supper.

Day 3 :

(Day two-three) Morning and Afternoon Open-Vehicle Safari Drives

Day 4 :

Morning Safari Drive and Return to Johannesburg

Enjoy your wake-up call with coffee and tea before embarking on your morning wildlife drive, which includes a dawn coffee break in the reserve. Return to the lodge for breakfast. Check out at 10:30 a.m. and drive yourself to Johannesburg. A private transport is also available for an additional fee.
