Day 1 :

From mile high Johannesburg to the ever warm lowveld Kruger Park to enjoy your first sunset safari

Depart from the bus terminal at Johannesburg International Airport at 07:00 on a shared mini-coach to Nelspruit, where your driver will greet you and transport you to the lodge. Register for your Premium River-View accommodation, with an en suite bathroom and an open balcony with a river view. Unwind and see the scenery of Kruger National Park while watching nearby animals. Consider having lunch (optional) in the restaurant, taking a swim in the pool, or exploring the expansive, well-maintained grounds and garden.
Collection for your sunset safari drive into the KNP will occur somewhere around 3:30 PM, dependent upon the time of year, with a return to the resort for supper later in the evening. Experience the visual, auditory, and olfactory elements of the bush while engaging with the surrounding wildlife as you unwind under the African stars on the lodge's open deck. Engage in a nighttime swim or get a beverage from the bar. The lodge has internet, enabling you to share your first photographs and communicate with friends and family.

Day 2 :

Kruger National Park Safaris in one of the most animal rich regions of the Park

This morning, you will awaken at dawn and go on your sunrise safari with the park ranger. This is a significant time of day when the Kruger emerges and becomes vibrant. By this time, you should have heard the distinctive call of the fish eagles, prevalent along the river. It is hoped that there would be a matriarchal herd of elephants with calves, a brutal but essential lion kill, a magnificent giraffe, or a herd of formidable African buffalo. Exciting confrontations await at every turn!
Subsequently, return to the lodge for breakfast and enjoy the afternoon at your leisure. Unwind by the pool or enjoy the vistas from your Premium River View suite balcony or the restaurant terrace. Lunch is available on the terrace of Pestana Kruger Lodge, including views of the Crocodile River and Kruger Park (at your own expense).
This afternoon, you will be picked up for your late afternoon/sunset open vehicle safari, and following the game drive, you will return to Pestana Kruger Lodge for supper.

Day 3 :

The majestic Panorama Route featuring the world's most stunning vistas and scenery

This morning, after an early breakfast, your guide will pick up you for an exhilarating day on the Panorama Route. This path is located near the periphery of the elevated escarpment. The escarpment separates the temperate highlands of South Africa from the somewhat warmer lowlands that include Kruger National Park. Its serrated edges extend prominently over the lowland plains. The route traverses these areas and unveils breathtaking panoramas from various overlooks, including God's Window. It is home to several stunning waterfalls, and its highest point has one of the world's deepest river canyons, the Blyde River Canyon. Unusual geological structures known as Bourke's Luck Potholes are located at the confluence of the Blyde (happy) River and the Treur (sorrowful) River. The meteorological conditions along this path contrast with the arid heat of KNP, since it remains foggy and cold for the majority of the year. Pancakes, both savory and sweet, have become a regional specialty, and we will taste them for lunch. Return to Pestana by 6:00 PM.

Day 4 :

Sunrise Safari and Transfer Back to Johannesburg

Embark on your last safari drive at daybreak in Kruger National Park. It is possible to substitute any of your morning game drives on your safari for safari walks. EITHER THIS ONE OR THE ONE ON DAY TWO MAY BE ALTERED. This must be organized in advance, and you are required to inform us at least one to two weeks before your travel. A stroll in the woods provides a very different viewpoint than driving. Following breakfast at the lodge, our driver will pick you up to begin your trip back to Johannesburg. Return to Johannesburg occurs between 17:30 and 18:00. A handy flight to Cape Town departs daily at noon from a nearby airport, and we can transport you there, resulting in a refund or reduction on the shuttle fare back to Johannesburg.
If time-constrained, we may arrange your transportation to and from a nearby airport for a little additional expense. Inquire about the cost of this additional option.
