Overview

Kapama Southern Camp is a family-friendly Big 5 safari location in the Greater Kruger National Park, situated in Kapama Private Game Reserve. The reserve covers around 13,000 hectares and is made up of rich savannah grasslands and riverine woodlands, with two perennial rivers flowing through it. The presence of water attracts a diverse range of wildlife and birds. Southern Camp is the newest addition to Kapama Private Game Reserve and was designed with the whole family in mind.

Day 1 :

Johannesburg to the Kapama Southern Camp

We leave from Johannesburg's O.R. Tambo International Airport Bus Terminal at 7:00. The drive to Kruger National Park in Mpumalanga Province takes you from the Highveld, down the escarpment, and through the picturesque Lowveld.

Arrive at Kapama Private Game Reserve in time for a quick lunch. Relax and freshen yourself before departing for a late-afternoon wildlife drive in Kapama Private Wildlife Reserve.

Stay overnight at Kapama Southern Camp. Guests may eat in the resort restaurant or on the outside boma.

Day 2 :

(Day two-three) Morning, Afternoon Open Vehicle Safari Drives and Spa Treatment

Wake up early (05h30–06h00) for hot drinks and rusks before embarking on a 3-hour dawn game drive via Kapama Private Game Reserve. Return to your lodge for a late breakfast and spend the rest of the day lounging by the pool or treating yourself to a spa treatment. After High Tea, depart in the late afternoon for a 3-hour sunset game drive in the private reserve, including a break for sundowners in the bush.
Our Kapama Southern Camp safari package includes a 30-minute back, neck, and shoulder massage at the award-winning Kapama Wellness Centre. (Subject to availability.)

Day 4 :

Morning Safari Drive and Return to Johannesburg

Set out at daybreak to enjoy your last game drive in Kapama Private Game Reserve. Return to your accommodation for breakfast and prepare to leave mid-morning for the return drive to Johannesburg.

Arrive back in Johannesburg late afternoon. You will be dropped off at O.R. Tambo International Airport between 17:30 and 18:00pm, or at a hotel/guest house in Johannesburg or Pretoria by prior arrangement. Please check the precise times with a Kruger Safari Company representative before booking a connecting domestic or international flight.

Main Destination: No big destinations visited.
Accommodation: There is no accommodation at the end of the excursion.
