Overview
Ranger vehicles can transport people on all public roads inside the reserve; however, access to the Big 5 private concession is limited to paying guests and safari companies. The Pilanesberg Game Reserve is situated in a transitional zone between the lush Lowveld region and the dry, arid Kalahari Desert, at the foot of an old volcanic crater.
