Day 1 :

Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve for an Overnight Stay

We set off at 7:30am for Masai Mara, embarking on a journey that will take four to five hours. Just beyond the Nairobi suburbs, you encounter stunning vistas from an incredible viewpoint. Below, the Great Rift Valley floor calls out, a remarkable geological wonder stretching across East Africa to the south. Following a few captivating photo moments and insightful notes from your driver guide, we will embark on the next leg of our journey, traversing Narok Town and venturing into the breathtaking Masai Mara. The journey to the Mara is best experienced in a 4x4 safari vehicle.

Arrive at Drunken Elephant Mara around noon, check in, and then enjoy a delightful lunch featuring the chef's special. After lunch, take a moment to recharge and refresh before embarking on an exciting afternoon game drive. The game drive will continue until the late afternoon (6:00pm), at which point the park's wardens ask that the animals be given their space for both privacy and safety reasons.

Just before or after dinner, you might enjoy a refreshing sundowner (payable as you drink). Your evening meal and night’s rest await you at Drunken Elephant Mara.

Masai Mara National Reserve to Nairobi

On this day, you will rise early for an exhilarating game drive to witness the animal kingdom's early risers—both in spirit and in their natural habitat. With a bit of fortune and the keen observation of our seasoned guides, you might catch a glimpse of a majestic early morning hunt by the larger felines. After your thrilling escapades, head back to the lodge for a hearty breakfast, then prepare to check out before 10:00 am for your next adventure back to Nairobi.

As you journey along, expect delightful pauses and chances to capture stunning moments while winding through the picturesque Narok-Nairobi road. Just outside the Masai Mara, we will make a scheduled stop at a Masai village—an opportunity to engage with the local community, immerse yourself in their genuine culture, and discover unique handcrafted fashion accessories.

Your journey will bring you to Nairobi around 3:00pm, where your driver guide will escort you to your hotel, airport, or chosen destination, signaling the conclusion of an experience filled with excitement and discovery.
