The Big Five live there, together with a large number of other wild creatures. The reserve is situated on the floor of an old volcanic crater in a transitional zone between the lush Lowveld region and the dry, arid Kalahari Desert, which makes for an intriguing environment. One of Pilanesberg’s larger lodges, Bakubung Bush Lodge is a major favorite among families. Between regular game drives, there is a ton to accomplish.
