Our 10 days Uganda and Rwanda safari from Kigali will offer you an opportunity to explore of the top two countries famous for primate safaris and wildlife safaris in East Africa. This trip starts and ends in Kigali Rwanda or starts in Kigali and end in Entebbe International airport in Uganda. While on this tour, you will visit volcanoes national park in Rwanda, Bwindi national park for gorilla trekking and Kibale forest national park for chimpanzee trekking and wildlife safaris in queen Elizabeth National Park as well as Golden monkey trekking experience, cultural experiences where you will meet and interact with the different cultures both in Uganda and Rwanda and learn more about them.

Day to Day Detailed Itinerary
Adventure in the wild safari’s river guide will pick you up early morning from Kigali-Rwanda from the airport or Hotel, he will brief you about the safari before beginning your long drive to Uganda. The journey from Kigali to Uganda- Kibale takes about 6 hours. Therefore, you are required to rise up and set off early so as to arrive in time to rest before the chimpanzee trekking the following day.
The journey is quite long but much rewarding as you get to view beautiful attractions along the countryside like the rolling hills with stunning landscapes on both Uganda and Rwanda. Lunch with be enroute, arriving in the park late afternoon, you will proceed and check in to the lodge for relaxation. Later dinner and overnight stay.

Rise up early for breakfast and after, head out to the park headquarters for briefing, the park rangers and Guides will provide you will all the park information like the history of the park, the rules and regulations for chimpanzee trekking and while in the presence of the chimps. you will be accompanied by the rangers to the starting point of the trek, the trekking usually takes about 2-5 hours depending on the location of the chimps and the one hour to observe them in their Natural habitat. After you will return to the park offices then to the lodge for lunch and a brief rest.
In the afternoon you will go for Bigodi nature walk which is rich in biodiversity and scenic beauty, the swamp is a home to the Great Blue Turaco and several other bird species. The Bigodi swamp is real bird watchers’ paradise. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Wake up to a relaxed morning breakfast and thereafter, check out and drive to Queen Elizabeth national park. these two parks almost touch each other, the drive time I about 2 and half hours. on arrival, you proceed and check in to the lodge for relaxation, lunch will be served and after, drive to the park for afternoon game drive. This time, the animals are active since the sun is cool and they are living their hiding grounds to hunts and graze. The park is a home to several mammal species including the lions, leopards, cheetah, elephants, Buffalos among others. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay,

Have your breakfast, early and drive to the park by the break of dawn for game drive to catch up with the early risers and the predators coming out hunting for pry. Mornings offers great wildlife sightings and the animals are active during this time. You will be able to see several mammals’ spices grazing in the savannah grass including; African elephant, African buffalo, Ugandan Kob, hippos, topi, waterbuck, warthog, giant forest hog, Nile crocodile, leopard, spotted hyena, lion among others. Return to the lodge for lunch and rest.
In the afternoon, you will go on boat cruise in Kazinga the highlight of the many safaris in the park. While on the boat, you will encounter highest concentration of hippos as well as buffalos, crocodiles and wide array of bird species along the banks. The boat cruise goes on until sundown where you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Have your breakfast early and thereafter, check out and drive to Bwindi impenetrable forest via the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth famous for the tree climbing lions that you may be able to see during the brief game drive around the sector. Ishasha is a home to biggest number of predators as well as several mammal species. You will have you lunch here too and thereafter, continue to Bwindi Forest national park. On arrival, you check in to the lodge for relaxation as you prepare for gorilla trekking the next day. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Wake up early and have breakfast. With your packed lunch, head out to the park headquarters where you will attend briefing on the dos and the don’ts for gorilla trekking, divided in groups of 8 members and assigned arranger who will accompany to forest for the trek. The gorilla trek usually takes about 2-6 hours or more depending on the movement of the gorillas. Once you have found them, you will be allowed one hour with them in their Natural habitat.
Return to the park headquarters where you will be awarded with the certificate of participation in gorilla trekking, meet up with your guide who will drive you back to the lodge where you will check out and drive to Lake Bunyonyi.
Lake Bunyonyi also referred to as the place with little birds is one of the popular safari destinations for visitors coming from Bwindi after a long day trek. Lake Bunyonyi is peaceful and quite with a conducive environment and peaceful night.

Wake up to a relaxed breakfast, after you go on canoe boat in lake Bunyonyi to visit some of the Islands, lake Bunyonyi has got 29 Islands each having its historical belief. While on the boat, you will also be able to see the little birds among other attractions like the plantations and the locals going about their daily activities. After, return to the lodge, check out and drive to Kigali-Rwanda, you will have lunch enroute. Arriving in the Kigali-volcanoes national park in the evening proceed and check in to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

You will have breakfast followed by a briefing at the park headquarters form the park rangers and guide on the rules and regulations for gorilla trekking, you will be divided in groups of 8 and assigned a gorilla group you will be tracking. After you will proceed to the starting point of the trek. Gorilla trekking takes about 2-6 hours depending on the location of the gorillas. You have one hour to spend with them as you watch them go about their daily activities. Return to the lodge for relaxation.
In the afternoon, visit the Iby’iwacu culture in Rwanda where you will meet and interact with the locals and learn more about them also enjoy some entertainment from the locals like the dances among other community activities. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Have your breakfast and just like the gorilla trekking procedure, head out to the park headquarters for briefing and thereafter, you will star the trek in the forest, golden monkey trekking is not as hectic compared to Gorillas. Golden monkeys are nosier and jump from one tree to another thus easier to locate them. You will have one hour with them, as you watch them play, feed among other daily activities. After you will return to the
Wake to a relaxed morning breakfast. Thereafter, depending on your flight schedule, you may have a Kigali city tour to visit some of the unique and top safari destinations in Kigali Rwanda. While on the city tour, you may visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial, Inema Arts Center, Museums, and Kimironko Market among others. After you will have lunch in Kigali city and the guide will drop you off at the Kigali airport in time for your departure flight. Marking the end of the safari.
