Itinerary
You will take a shared private flight to the Kalahari after landing at Botswana's Maun Airport. Leroo La Tau is a remote camp on the edge of the huge and dangerous Makgadikgadi Pans. It has a view of the Boteti River, which is an important source of food and water for animals in the area. Guides and trackers take guests on game drives and educational walks. Wildebeest and zebras come in big groups from November to May, which attracts a lot of animals that eat them. "Footprint of the Lion" is what the lodge's name really means. Night drives with spot lights and watching birds finish off the picture.

Today, you'll take a shared private flight to Xugana Island Lodge and the northern Okavango Delta. This is a real water camp. It is on a private island with big trees. People can walk, boat, or canoe to see this beautiful part of the bay. Start the day with a mokoro (canoe) trip along clear rivers with an experienced guide who will point out birds and frogs. Walking tours that go from island to island show you the amazing variety of wildlife in the delta. Back at camp, you'll enjoy meals under the stars and a friendly atmosphere around a fire.

Savute is the wild center of Chobe National Park—a patch of grassland and water in a sea of dry woods. You will fly in from Xugana Island Lodge and stay at Savute Safari Lodge. The magnificent chalets overlook the famous Savute Channel, which is a favored water supply for Savute's thirsty elephants. Savute is one of Botswana's top predator hotspots, and the battle between lions and hyenas is well documented.
