Hell’s Gate National Park is situated south of Lake Naivasha in Kenya, to the northwest of Nairobi. Hell’s Gate National Park derives its name from a narrow gap in the cliffs, which was once a tributary of an ancient lake that nourished early humans in the Rift Valley. It was founded in 1984.
