The trip usually begins at 10:00 a.m. at Kleinbaai harbour, which is located 2 kilometers from the town of Gansbaai in South Africa. The commencement time may change depending to tides and accelerated sea conditions. After 5:00 p.m. the day before your dive, you will be individually advised of the time you must arrive at our crew home. After a continental breakfast (no greasy items), payments are made, and a safety briefing will be provided. You will board our shark-chaser, Apex Predator, for the 5-mile journey to Dyer Island or the anchorage. The boat usually departs from the harbor at 10:00 a.m. and returns between 2:00 and 4:00 p.m. After dropping anchor, we begin luring the Great Whites with a specially-formulated 'Chum' concoction comprised entirely of legal components, which Brian has spent years perfecting and is a well-kept trade secret. Sharks appear on 99.9% of our excursions.
