1-Day Private Custom Art Tour in Johannesburg

We depart the hotel and head to the Keyes Art Mile, where we will tour a lot of galleries that are close together. These include five prominent galleries: Kim Sacks, the Goodman, Circa, Everard Read, and David Krut, which also sells a large collection of art publications. After lunch at one of the area's outstanding restaurants, we head downtown, where you can choose from a number of galleries or have David lead you to those he believes will be most fascinating. You can go to Maboneng Precinct, where renowned global artist William Kentridge maintains a studio named "The Centre for the Less Good Idea," or the Bag Factory at the other end of town. Just north of the city center is the Johannesburg Art Gallery (old masters and modern), followed by Constitution Hill, a former apartheid prison. The Transwerke is a lovely vintage Art Deco building that has been transformed into a living and working environment for young and developing artists.
