1-Day Big Five Safari in Ngorongoro Crater

Begin your day with a 5 a.m. transfer from your hotel/airport and a breathtaking drive to the Ngorongoro Crater, including a packed breakfast along the way. The journey lasts around 4 hours and takes us to this magnificent location known for its rich animals, including the elusive black rhino—an iconic sight if we're lucky. Covering an immense 260 square kilometers and with a diameter of roughly 20 kilometers, our exploration of this natural wonder will likely require 5 to 6 hours. Inside the crater, you will encounter the big five: rhino, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and lion.

After that, we'll head back to Arusha, hoping to arrive around 6 p.m. Along the way, you'll enjoy a cooked lunch at the Ngoitoktok Picnic Area, where hippopotamus sightings are not unusual.
