Overview

Fly from Johannesburg’s O.R. Tambo Airport to Hoedspruit Airport, which is about a 30-minute drive from the Greenfire Game Lodge. The lodge is a completely renovated ecotourism resort in Balule Private Game Reserve. The 50,000-hectare reserve is one of the Greater Kruger’s unfenced private reserves, located near the famed Kruger National Park.

Day 1 :

Johannesburg - Balule Game Reserve - Fly in

Guests go to Johannesburg's O.R. Tambo Airport to check in for their pre-booked flight to Hoedspruit Airport. They arrive at Hoedspruit Airport about lunchtime and are transported to the resort. They have a light lunch and rest at the camp before leaving for a late afternoon wildlife drive in Balule Private Wildlife Reserve. They return to the camp as the sun sets and have a communal supper around the bonfire on warm nights.

Main destination: Balule Private Nature Reserve (Greater Kruger).

Day 2 :

(Day two-three) Guided morning and afternoon open-vehicle safari drives

Wake up early to enjoy hot drinks before embarking on a 3-hour dawn game drive through Balule Private Game Reserve. Return for a nice meal and relax about the camp. Depart late in the afternoon for a sunset game drive.

Day 3 :

(Day two-three) Guided morning and afternoon open-vehicle safari drives

Day 4 :

Day 4 Morning safari drive and flight back to Johannesburg

Set out as the sun rises for your last game drive in Balule Game Reserve. Enjoy a late breakfast before checking out. We left late in the morning for our return journey to Johannesburg's O.R. Tambo Airport.

Main Destination: No big destinations visited.
Accommodation: There is no accommodation at the end of the excursion.
