4-Day Treehouse Lodge Safari in Greater Kruger

You will be picked up from OR Tambo Airport before 7:00 a.m. Pick-up from Hoedspruit Airport (the nearest airport to the resort) is available at any time throughout the day. Please schedule your arriving flights appropriately to ensure you have ample time.

When we get at the cheap wildlife lodge, you may relax in your air-conditioned accommodation, swim in the pool, or explore the grounds. Later in the afternoon, you will go on your first amazing Big 5 sunset drive. Experienced game rangers will guide you to incredible wildlife sights. After this wonderful trip, you will return to the Marula Tree Boma for a bush braai (South African supper).

Awaken at daybreak for a thrilling day in the wilderness. Drive to a distant area of the Balule Game Reserve for a relaxing bush walk with a knowledgeable field guide. The excitement of tracking Africa's great animals will stay with you forever. Get up close to the animals for picture possibilities and an adrenaline boost, even with your armed ranger there. Afterward, go back to the game lodge for breakfast.

Around 15h00, we go on an afternoon game drive. We next travel to the Treehouse Lodge, where we stay in intriguing and beautiful treehouses. These treehouses are not erected in tree branches but rather as wooden dwellings between trees to provide the illusion of a treehouse. Some are on the ground, while others are higher. The units are given based on group size. Some flats have en-suite bathrooms, while others share facilities among many units.

Drive to Kruger National Park's Orpen Gate in a custom-built open-sided game viewer. See a wide range of African animals, including giraffe, wild dog, lion, leopard, and elephant (depending on your luck). You will be able to see the wildlife without the intervention of glass windows, as well as smell and listen to the bush's inhabitants. It is a fantastic learning experience in the great outdoors. We make frequent stops at picnic areas, eateries, and points of interest.

The vast plains of the Orpen-Satara-Nwandezi area attract enormous herds of zebra, giraffe, and antelope, which attract a variety of predators. In fact, this region has the greatest lion population in Africa.

Enjoy an early morning stroll with an armed ranger. We next go to the spectacular Three Rondawels and Blyde River Canyon. We return to Gauteng late in the afternoon. Airport drop-off is by arrangement.

Please keep in mind that the Three Rondawels stop is only available on the way to Johannesburg.

You should arrive in Johannesburg between 17h00 and 18h00; however, this time range is subject to traffic and the entire route. Please plan a same-day departure flight (local flights only after 20h00, foreign flights no earlier than 21h00).
