Overview

Timbavati Private Nature Reserve, on the western edge of Kruger National Park in Limpopo province, South Africa, is home to Kambaku River Sands, which sits on the banks of a dry riverbed. The lodge’s lack of fencing makes it a perfect vantage point for wildlife viewing since animals like buffalo, bushbuck, and elephants are free to wander.

Day 1 :

Johannesburg – Kambaku River Sands

We will pick you up from your Johannesburg residence at an early hour and take you east on the N4 highway, passing through the Highveld in Gauteng and Mpumalanga. Then, we will descend the escarpment and enter the Timbavati Game Reserve, which is near Hoedspruit in Limpopo.

You will stop for refreshments along the six to seven hours of driving and arrive at the lodge about midday.

Before your first afternoon wildlife drive in the reserve in an open safari vehicle, you will have some opportunity to rest and freshen yourself. A sumptuous meal is waiting for you when you return to the lodge after dusk.

Day 2 :

(Day two-four) Morning and Afternoon Open Vehicle Safari Drives

Get ready for early morning wake-up calls every day so you may have a hot drink and some rusks before you go on your game drive. You could see the sun come up and maybe even catch a glimpse of some nighttime creatures who are still hunting.

Returning to the lodge in the afternoon allows for a leisurely breakfast before spending the remainder of the day relaxing or taking use of the on-site spa or fitness center.

At around 16:00, we will go out on an afternoon wildlife drive and be back in time for a delicious dinner under the African sky.

Once again, you will need to get up bright and early on the last day of your safari to have your hot drink and snack before setting out for your last game drive.

Return to the resort for a goodbye meal before you travel to Johannesburg after witnessing the African dawn. Around 17:00, you will reach your designated drop-off location.
