Overview

Among other wildlife species, the park is well-known for being the greatest location in Africa to get up close and personal with free-ranging elephants. Meeting Maasai people and having breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro, the world’s highest free-standing peak, are two more park attractions. Numerous more wildlife species exist, such as hyenas, antelopes, buffalo, and lions. The park features vast skies, far horizons, marshy springs, and arid, dusty terrain.
