Overview

After arriving at OR Tambo Airport early on Day 1, you will begin this journey with a visit to the famous slum of Soweto and the bustling metropolis of Johannesburg in the afternoon. After that, you head out on a day safari to explore the broad, expansive vistas and diverse wildlife life of Kruger National Park. Savor the distinctive charm of some Kruger Park rest camps and the comforts of a bush lodge close to the park, where your guide will prepare your meals.

Day 1 :

Arrival and Soweto Tour

The hotel shuttle will pick you up when you arrive at O.R. Tambo. After you check into the guest house, you meet your tour guide for the Soweto tour, which includes a stop to Nelson Mandela's former home, among other things. You will have a buffet-style meal when you get back to your guest home and then get a good night's sleep.

Day 2 :

Panorama Route Highlights and arrival in Hoedspruit

You travel to Ohrigstad via an overland shuttle from the airport in the early morning, where your private guide will meet you. Savor the breathtaking scenery of the well-known Panorama Route on the Northern Drakensberg Escarpment, complete with waterfalls, views, and a canyon. When you arrive to your upscale bush lodge in the late afternoon, your host will have prepared a delicious supper for you to enjoy.

Day 3 :

Kruger Park Safari

We begin our first game drive to see the Big and the Little 5 as well as several other creatures in the morning after picking you up at your accommodation in our open safari vehicle (OSV). While eating breakfast in one of the picnic areas, we have plenty of time to enjoy the peace and quiet of the African morning (breakfast package made by the resort). Lunch is at one of the stores or on your own at a picnic area.

Following a long day of safari, we check into the rest camp. You have a little time to relax in your basic Kruger bungalow before touring the site, which has a restaurant, a convenience shop, a curio, and a swimming pool. Your guide prepares dinner.

Day 4 :

Kruger Park Safari

After checking out, we begin our second day of safari after eating breakfast at the camp, which is made by your guide. We'll travel an alternate route back north for even better chances to see wildlife, and we'll stop for a brief lunch at one of the picnic areas (own account).

To commemorate your African journey, our guide cooks you traditional African braai in the evening. You'll sleep in a cozy cottage for the night.

The primary location is Kruger National Park.

Day 5 :

Return to Johannesburg via Panorama Route

We will head out for our final morning game drive after purchasing a snack from the park shop (our expense). At 11 a.m., you return to Hoedspruit and board a shared van to return to OR Tambo Airport, where your tour concludes at approximately 18 o'clock.
