2-Day Garden Route Safari from Cape Town

Guests are picked up in Cape Town and taken to Cape Agulhas, Africa's southernmost point and the meeting point of the Indian and Atlantic oceans. Explore the stunning coastline landscape and pay a visit to the Cape Agulhas lighthouse, South Africa's second-oldest and still operational.

Your journey takes you via the magnificent Garden Route to Albertinia, a little village at the foot of the tranquil Langeberg Mountains. Check into your hotel, rest, and clean up before going for a late-afternoon Big 5 safari trip of the privately owned wildlife reserve.

The Garden Route Game Lodge will be your place to stay tonight. A buffet meal will be served beneath the stars either at the outdoor boma or in the resort restaurant.

Wake up early for a 3-hour dawn game drive across the private game reserve. This is the greatest time to observe wildlife and birds on the bushveld. Return to the lodge about mid-morning for a late breakfast.

Return to Cape Town, going through the local reptile park and the lively seaside town of Hermanus, which is well-known for whale watching. Visit Betty's Bay to observe the African penguins, and stop for lunch on the way.

Depending on traffic, arrive in Cape Town about late afternoon. Do not book a flight out of Cape Town that departs before 21:00.
