Kiambethu Farm at Limuru offers a captivating glimpse into the vibrant life of a settler farm. Perched at an elevation of 7,200 ft. In 1910, AB Mc Donell acquired and began farming Kiambethu. He was a trailblazer in the tea industry, among the first to craft and market tea commercially in Kenya, which has now become one of the country’s largest exports. Five generations have thrived on the farm. The farmhouse is nestled in stunning gardens, embraced by vast expanses of tea and native forest, where the Colobus monkey makes its home.
