Overview

Located in a crater in the Bojanala Region of the North West Province, Pilanesberg National Park is the fourth biggest wildlife park in South Africa. A volcano that erupted millions of years ago created this crater. One of the most amazing scenery you will ever see is this once-extinct volcano. The Pilanesberg Game Reserve is currently home to most of South Africa’s wildlife thanks to the Genesis project.

Day 1 :

Johannesburg to the Pilanesberg Game Reserve

The driver guide will pick you up early in Johannesburg or Pretoria, depending on your pick up location. And start your journey to Pilanesberg Game Reserve,
Between 9:00 and 9:15 in the morning, you will arrive in Pilanesberg and proceed with a 2- to 3-hour closed-tour vehicle game drive to kick off your day in the game reserve. Whether you witness an interesting animal sighting and decide to spend a little more time at the sighting will determine how long the game drive will be.
Light lunch and drinks (at your own expense) are available at Pilanesberg Centre from 12:00 to 1:00 pm. Following the midday meal, you will head to Manyane Resort to check in and leave your luggage. Mid-afternoon at Manyane, between 4:00 and 4:30 pm, is when your guide for the afternoon safari excursion will meet you. For a two and a half to three hour game drive (depending on what you see), you will board an open safari car.
Your guide drives you back to the lodge following a fantastic game drive experience. you will return to the lodge and freshen up. Dinner will be served and you can spend the rest of the evening at leisure.

Day 2 :

Safari Drives and Return to Johannesburg

You will rise early for hot drinks and rusks, and then you will head out in an open safari vehicle for a two and a half to three hour dawn game drive. Once more, the duration of the game drive is determined by what you observe and how long you pause when you spot an animal. You will have breakfast back at the resort.
Your last game drive in Pilanesberg will take place at around 11:00 am, after which you will pack up, depart from the lodge, and ride in the closed tour vehicle into the bushveld. You will depart the game reserve for the return trip to Johannesburg at midday after stopping at Pilanesberg Centre for lunch and drinks (at your expense).
You should return to the city between 5:30 and 6:30 p.m. The precise time depends on late afternoon traffic and the location where you need to be dropped off.
