Your day begins with an early morning pick-up at 4:30 AM from your hotel in Nairobi or JKIA. The journey to Amboseli National Park spans approximately 4 hours. Dominated by the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s tallest mountain, Amboseli stands out as one of Kenya’s most beloved parks. Amboseli derives its name from a Masai term that translates to “salty dust,” and it stands out as one of the premier locations in Africa for experiencing large herds of elephants in their natural habitat. Nature enthusiasts can embark on a journey through five distinct habitats, from the parched expanse of Lake Amboseli's dried-up bed to the vibrant wetlands featuring Sulphur springs, as well as the expansive savannah and lush woodlands.
Upon arrival at the park, embark on a thrilling game drive in search of the incredible array of wildlife, including elephants, giraffes, leopards, cheetahs, wild dogs, buffalo, lions, zebras, crocodiles, mongooses, hyraxes, dik-diks, lesser kudus, and nocturnal porcupines. The vibrant birdlife showcases an impressive array of 600 species.
After enjoying lunch at your own expense, set off on another exhilarating game drive, departing around 15:00 PM to return to Nairobi for drop-off at either the airport or your hotel.
