Overview

You may incorporate this Moholoholo Rehab Center add-on trip either before or after a safari in the Kruger Park that you have scheduled with Mmilo Tours. To prepare animals and birds hurt by human activity for release back into the wild, the center treats them. One of the experienced field staff members entrusted with the temporary captivity’s fauna will teach you during up-close interactions with the animals. Included is a picturesque 90-minute boat ride into the breathtaking Blyde Canyon.

Day 1 :

Arrive at the Animal Rehabilitation center

Our guide will pick you up and take you down to the Moholoholo Wildlife Rehabilitation Center after crossing the Abel Erasmus Mountain Pass to reach the Olifants River.
The itinerary at Moholoholo will include a night drive, an early morning bush walk in the nearby reserve with a ranger, and a visit of the rehabilitation facility, which begins at 3 p.m. Many of South Africa's injured, abandoned, and poisoned animals call the center home.
This is a great way to get acquainted with the local flora and animals before embarking on your Kruger Safari. You will enjoy a nighttime drive in the tiny private reserve around the resort after supper. Aardwolf, Aardvark, Nightjar, Hyena, African Wildcat, African Genet, Porcupine, White-Tailed Mongoose, and many owls are among the nocturnal species that you may be able to spot. Naturally, you can never foretell what will happen, but every drive is full of surprises.

Day 2 :

Morning Bush Walk and Blyde Canyon Boat Tour

Take a leisurely stroll around the Moholoholo Reserve this morning. The area's smaller creatures, birds, insects, and plants may best be discovered and seen on foot, and the junior rangers here will tell you about them.
Following breakfast, we take a magnificent 90-minute boat ride on the Blyde Dam before entering the Blyde River Canyon. From the boat, take in views of the Three Rondawels and the live Kadishi Tufa waterfall. African fish eagles, crocodiles, and hippos are among the many species of wildlife that may be seen there. You will discover more about the history of the world's third-largest canyon throughout the voyage.

After that, we'll head to your resort in the vicinity of the Kruger Park to begin your safari.

Your guide will drop you off at your Kruger lodge (or, if you want to conduct this add-on excursion at the conclusion of your safari, back in Johannesburg). If necessary, a drop-off may be scheduled at the airports in Johannesburg or Nelspruit.

The primary route is the Panorama Route across the Blyde River Canyon Nature Reserve.
