The Ngorongoro Crater, the largest intact crater in the world, is frequently referred to as the eighth natural marvel of the natural world. The Ngorongoro volcano experienced an eruption approximately 2 million years ago, with the subsequent disintegration of its walls. A natural enclosure was formed by the volcano's 600m-high walls as the volcano floor descended. Ngorongoro Crater is now a vast expanse of acacia forest, hippo-infested wetlands, and open grasslands, spanning over 19 kilometers in width. Elephants, warthogs, flamingos, magnificent birdlife, the uncommon black rhinoceros, and all predatory cats are among the more than 30,000 animals that inhabit these diverse habitats. In addition to antelope and wildebeest, the Maasai can be observed grazing their cattle.
