After becoming acquainted with the guide, you will drive to Tarangire (1hr 45min), well-known for its varied scenery from your hotel at 7:30 am. The park offers special opportunity to see the interaction between elephant families and is especially well-known for the profusion of ancient baobab trees and the highest concentration of elephants in the entire nation. Depending on where there have been documented animal sightings—mostly predators, lions, cheetahs, and leopards as they are difficult to find—you will conduct a game drive across the park (giraffes, wildebeest, zebras, etc. are enough to view).
Later on, you will visit the Tarangire River picnic location and savor the breathtaking view of the river and wildlife while eating lunch; little monkeys and baboons will try to frighten you off your food but there is nothing to worry about.
Starting the game drive back to Arusha, you will leave the park about 4:30 pm.
There are meals here.
