4days Rwanda Double Gorilla trekking, will combine the great Rwanda safari highlight of gorilla trekking with the glimpse in to the vibrant Rwanda culture where you will get to learn more about Rwanda people. The trip takes you meet the gentle giants, the mountain Gorillas in volcanoes National Park where you will an experience of tracking two different gorilla groups with all different traits. You will also meet the local people of Rwanda while on the Iby’iwacu cultural tour and learn more about them as well as visiting the twin lakes of Ruhondo and Burare for an exciting experience.

Day to Day Detailed Itinerary
Your journey begins with your arrival at Kigali International Airport, where you will be warmly welcomed by your tour guide. Kigali, the capital city of Rwanda, is a vibrant and clean city with a rich history and culture. After a brief meet and greet, you will embark on a city tour of Kigali. This tour includes a visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial, a somber yet powerful reminder of the country’s past and a testament to its resilience and recovery.
Following the city tour, you will have lunch at one of Kigali’s renowned restaurants, offering a taste of the local cuisine. In the afternoon, you will start your drive to Volcanoes National Park in the northern part of the country. The scenic drive through the Rwandan countryside offers stunning views of the rolling hills and lush landscapes that the country is known for. Upon arrival at your lodge near the park, you will have dinner and an opportunity to rest, preparing for the adventure that awaits you the following day.

The day starts early with a hearty breakfast at your lodge before heading to the Volcanoes National Park headquarters for a briefing on gorilla trekking etiquette and safety. The anticipation builds as you learn about the majestic mountain gorillas you are about to encounter. You will be assigned a group of trackers and a specific gorilla family to visit.
The trek itself can range from an hour to several hours, depending on the location of the gorillas. As you hike through the dense forest, the excitement grows with each step. The terrain can be challenging, but the reward is worth every effort. Upon encountering the gorillas, you will spend a magical hour observing these gentle giants in their natural habitat. Watching the gorillas interact, play, and go about their daily lives is a profoundly moving experience.
After the trek, you will return to your lodge for lunch and some well-deserved rest. In the afternoon, you can opt for a cultural visit to the nearby Iby’iwacu Cultural Village. Another early start begins with breakfast at your lodge before heading back to the park headquarters for your second gorilla trekking adventure. This second trek offers a different perspective and the opportunity to visit another gorilla family, providing a deeper understanding of these incredible creatures and their social structures.
The experience of trekking through the forest is just as thrilling as the first day, with the added benefit of knowing what to expect. The hour spent with the gorillas will be equally enchanting, offering new insights and unique moments that differ from the previous day.
After the trek, you will return to your lodge for lunch. The afternoon you will visit the twin lakes of Ruhondo and Burera, the twin lakes offer a relaxing a moment after along day gorilla trekking, this beautiful lake has got beautiful scenery which offers an amazing experience. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

You might visit the local craft markets to pick up souvenirs or enjoy a final meal at one of Kigali’s delightful restaurants. Your guide will then transfer you to Kigali International Airport for your departure flight, bringing your incredible Rwandan adventure to a close.
